Meet Shanti, a pretty Flat Coat Retriever mix recently bailed from the pound.
Doesn't she look happy to be out of that place? Well, we are delighted to have her
and can't wait to see her in a loving, committed home.
Shanti is a spayed adult female. So far she appears to be everything Flatties are
known for: gentle nature, sweet and cuddly. She hopped right up into the car, rode
quietly and so far has crated very well. The pound in which she was bailed from
does temperament testing and she passed with a solid "A."
Shanti is a medium sized girl of about 45 lbs and up to date on shots.

Shanti has taken an accidental yet, terrible fall. Miraculously
she walked away but suffered some damage internally. Shanti is
suffering from a
HYPERTHORAX (collapsed lung) and has needed extensive treatment with round the
clock care. The Vet bills are staggering and we are in need of donations to
continue her treatment. Any amount is greatly appreciated and can be donated by
way of Pay Pal from our homepage, or you can send a check to: PO Box 500, Sunland
CA 91041. Our federal tax id number will be sent to you. Thank you.

Shanti is recovering splendidly with her foster parents. We
anticipate full recovery from her after surviving a fall from a 2 story balcony.
While we are elated and relieved that Shanti will be able to fully recover from
this ordeal, we are still very much in need of funds to cover her medical
expenses. At the time of this writing ARF still needs to recoup roughly $2100.00.
Tax deductible donations are greatly appreciated for this fine girl.
Shanti will also still need a forever home. She is a happy, affectionate,
resilient girl.

Shanti continues to do well. She is as good as new and is back to running and playing and being the gentle natured, yet spunky girl she always has been. ARF has received donations from her supporters and we are all very appreciative. Thank you!
We do however still have roughly $1500.00 to recoup even after donations these past couple of weeks.
Shanti is still in foster care and still in need of a forever home. Please don't let her fall discourage you from applying for this remarkable girl. She has been given every indication that this fall should not hinder her health in any way.
